Us climbers are notorious for never taking any time off, always going climbing every chance we get. The importance of recovery isn't exactly something that's widely acknowledged.

As someone who climbs all year round pushing my body every day, I've come to understand the importance of allowing the body - and mind - to fully recover every now and then.

Sure the initial weaker feeling after a break isn't pleasant but for me it always leads to the biggest gains and a more healthy body with that extra motivation for the next goals!
