This is my formerly beige Gramercy Park corporate apartment in Manhattan I lived in during the winter of 2011 while working behind the scenes as design producer of HGTV Design Star. To make it feel like a true home, my friends Susan, William and Ashlina came over and helped me adhere this wallpaper to an 8x4' piece of foam core, then we double-stick-taped it to the wall to make the space feel permanently wallpapered but with no commitment. And to dress up the lackluster floors, we covered them in modular carpet tiles with a flame stitch pattern to add personality.
