This has always been the point of @Kids Are the Worst --parenting is hard work, full of frustrations, fear, failure, and funny moments. We are kidding ourselves if we think it's going to be the glossy, magazine-worthy, idealized pictures of family perfection we see on Instagram, in magazines, and on screen. Most of the time parenting is messy and crazy. A lot of the time it's still beautiful and rewarding. Best decision I ever made was my four children. And sometimes they are such stinkers. But I prefer to laugh about it. Because crying gives me a headache. And really puffy eyes.
