?⛑Sometimes veterinarians from the Smithsonian Conservation Biology Institute’s Global Health Program interrupt their research to help save animals in need. In November, Dr. Marc Valitutto was in Myanmar studying pangolin health when he was asked to help provide life-saving veterinary care for endangered big-headed turtles seized from wildlife traffickers. He worked with veterinarians at the Wildlife Conservation Society/Turtle Survival Alliance Rescue Center to help the turtles in critical condition. #WeSaveSpecies
