‘As we sailed the Gerlache Strait, an announcement came over the loudspeaker of the ship, summoning all passengers to come on deck to for a once-in-a-lifetime wildlife spotting experience. Our ornithologist on board @quarkexpeditions, Fabrice Genevois, had spotted a tiny speck on an iceberg in the distance – it turned out to be a lone Emperor penguin, which is an incredibly rare sighting as they typically don’t dwell on that part of the continent.
