This weekend’s #LPInstaTakeover is by #LonelyPlanet Destination Editor @MaSovaida who has recently been on a trip of a lifetime to #Antarctica! ? ‘For my 33rd birthday, my wildest #travel bucket list dream came true as I joined @quarkexpeditions on their first Antarctic voyage of this season. I’ve wanted to see it since I was a child – spinning the globe on the desk in my father’s study made me feel like it was possible to travel anywhere in the world...except Antarctica. Maybe because it’s at the end of the Earth, or completely covered in ice, but I welcomed these alluring challenges and knew I had to get there someday. When I finally did, I jumped with glee...right into the Southern Ocean, as you can see here!’ - @masovaida.
