I've been on a writing kick lately and it has felt wonderful. Today's entry is a contrast of lists: distancing & letting go versus embracing and welcoming, whether it's in the form of mindsets, energy, who or what I choose to be around and also what I choose for myself when options are before me. This past year I made some pretty big changes that impacted every sphere of life and wasn't always a neat and tidy process, but it was so very good for my growth. It felt like a year of going back to the basics and working on the foundation, starting with removing away from anything that felt unhealthy, beginning with myself, then surroundings, and honoring my heart and spirit in the process. I was at dinner with a friend recently who asked me how I felt about my year overall, and I can honestly say that it felt very enriching, empowering and that I learned and grew. That alone is so much more than I could wish for. And it wasn't perfect by any means but it was still beautiful and blessed and I feel very thankful. And also full of hope for the new year ahead. ✨
