On assignment for @National Geographic Travel in Nepal // Photo by@alisonwrightphoto // Often #animals can be challenging to photograph: they never seem to do what you want when you want. The #wildlife here in #Nepal is also not as abundantly obvious as on safari in Africa so we were excited to see this one-horned rhino in #Chitwan National Park. Despite having the world's second largest population of this species, #one-horned #rhinos are solitary creatures, and we had nearly given up hope when this handsome fellow crossed our paths. Thanks to a country-wide effort, Chitwan National Park has celebrated more than two consecutive years without a rhino poached, and rhino numbers are on the rise, which gives these hunky guys even more reason to emerge from the bush and show themselves off. #onassignment with @carriemiller_writer #natgeotravel #natgeojourneys
