Jesus is Everywhere... Because He Knows #Santa... My son, Christopher, is a very forward thinking young man; Genius IQ, deeply loyal, highly evolved, and passionate about righting wrongs. And like all of us, he’s working things out. Now, make sure you have the right picture in your head. He’s not 5 years old, or 10 or 15. Christopher is 27, a brilliant musician, an artist, a photographer, with ear gauges and a plethora of Tattoos. Some beautiful, some rather…. “Oops”…shall we say? Having spent his entire life #traveling the world, jetting from one movie set, or recording studio or stage to the next, he’s had an interesting array of experiences with people of all #cultures, #religions, societal systems and patterns of belief. And when he came to roost, it was always in LA. Even when we lived in Dallas or Vancouver, we had a home there. And that’s where he, as a young man has resided, until recently when he moved to Nashville…the center of the Bible Belt. For a young man whose very existence is dedicated to pure, unbridled expression of his soul, the thought of strapping himself to any belt, no matter how shiny the buckle may be, can be terrifying. But after only one intensely creative musical experience in a Nashville studio, he relocated. Quite the adventurous move for a world traveler to settle in a city where you can navigate by church steeples. When Chris was just a toddler, I remember having to make the decision as to how to raise him spiritually, religiously. At the time, I was attending a non denominational Christian church in Malibu. It was a wonderful gathering of dedicated people who met in an elementary school theater every Sunday, collected shoes and clothes for the village we were sponsoring in South America, and actually handed out checks to its congregation to help them through the devastation of a wild fire. These were good, walk the walk kind of people. And I had to decide whether or not to put my little guy in Sunday school. Now some might say this was a no brainer. But honestly, I was still working stuff out myself. How could I not be?... Read the full #blog at beautifulbynia.com
