LOVEISNOWHERE
What you choose to see will be.
During this year-long journey of discovery, one of the most powerful things I was reminded of is this:
“That which you dwell upon, so shall you become.”
That may seem a bit dramatic but when you break down your day to your actions and your actions down to your thoughts, this is where you live. It’s where you exist. And therefor it becomes who you are.
More easily stated, what you focus on, grows:
The joy of the holiday season, or the chaos.
The shame of having to pull money out of savings to pay rent, or the acknowledgement of your foresight to have saved it in the first place.
The inconvenience of a rainy day or the opportunity to snuggle up in front of the fireplace.
During this holiday season no matter the drama, no matter how dark Black Friday becomes, no matter the weather, the news, the dried up turkey or the uninvited guest, I will choose to see the beautiful bits. I will choose to see the love that IS there knowing that what I focus on grows.
