new england daydreams - I love the texture of this place with its rough-hune clapboards and rippled glass windows, cedar shake siding and mansard roof lines - even bricks seem to have an indigenous look - I will never tire of the black and white color palate which is always crisp and clean against the backdrop of any landscape in any season - I am a lover of the architectural, cultural, vernacular history - one not so caught up in dates but in the specifics of life, of the everyday. That I can see the influences from other times and places, people and countries makes me love it even more - this layered higgeledy-piggeldy place I call home
