Most people reach a moment in their lives when they feel the need to choose between two interests, but when it came time for @yusan.lin to pick fashion or data mining, she decided to combine them. After completing her undergrad in Taiwan, Yusan enrolled in a Ph.D. program at Penn State, where she is researching analytics in the fashion world. “One of the most ambitious things we’re working on is to use data-mining tricks to predict fashion trends,” she reveals. “We’re trying to see whether we can learn from history and see what will repeat or be the next big thing!” ?
