For our second @parisphotofair Instagram takeover selection, @daisy_hoppen has chosen this photograph, taken by Sergio Larrain in 1958, from the @michaelhoppengallery stand. “Sergio Larrain, from Chile, is something of a legend in photography folklore, having abandoned the world after the 1960s to seek a life of solitary and spiritual mysticism as a recluse. One of @Magnum Photos’ most loved and revered photographers, it felt incredibly special to have a small selection of his original and vintage silver gelatin prints on show. I love this image of two Bolivian figures, and the shadowy nature of the second background man, hurrying up the road. It’s a truly arresting picture.” #parisphotofair2016
