Antelope Island State Park, situated in the middle of the Great Salt Lake, contains one of the largest free roaming herds herd of bison ranging from 500-700 in population. Pronghorn antelope and mule dear are also abundant on the island. The island is accessible via a causeway connecting it to the mainland.
