Eagle rays are beautiful, social creatures that are often found aggregating in large groups. As with many peaceful ocean inhabitants, underwater noise caused by many factors, including boats, can easily panic these somewhat sensitive birds of the sea. Freediving however gives you the best chance to gain their trust and get close to experience their beauty first hand.
