Just like some salmon, turtles and albatross, Bimini lemon sharks return to the same mangrove nursery they were born in to give birth themselves, this is known as natal philopatry. Shark data via @biminisharklab
Spooky fact- Female sand tiger sharks (Carcharias taurus) experience intrauterine cannibalism whilst pregnant- only one or two pups will survive full term after consuming their brothers and sisters!
