Today I was awarded with an MBE. I became A Member of the Most Excellent order of the Great British Empire for my services to climbing. It was a totally surreal experience. The palace has to be the most beautifully elaborate place I have ever had the pleasure to see. I'm incredibly honoured to receive this award. There are points in life when it is important to stop and reflect. This was definitely one. In doing this it becomes apparent that my journey has been influenced by some key individuals. I cannot express with words how thankful I am to have had so many amazing people in my life who have helped me to achieve my goals and become the person I am today.
