Photo by @FransLanting Right now in Antarctica, emperor penguins are nurturing new life. It seems an impossible proposition to raise chicks at 30 degrees below zero. And yet, they manage to do it. Every traveler to Antarctica hopes to see an emperor penguin, but their colonies are remote and very difficult to get to. It takes an icebreaker or an expedition with aerial support. I’ve been lucky to spend time with these amazing birds a number of times. Here’s one of my many favorite moments. For more, follow me @FransLanting.
