trying to capture a bit of that summer magic and preserve the garden a bit longer - I already feel grateful it has given us produce this long! using up the second planting of arugula (well intentioned but really too late and chilly for the little leaves) and handfuls of toasted walnuts -one of two savory pestos up in the blog - the other is using the beautiful and nutrient rich carrot tops from the garden- earthy and sweet they have been an unexpected star ingredient this season (I've also been making the most delicious carrot soup using the whole carrot, greens and all!
