In the unspoiled Carpathian mountains, where superstitions of vampires and werewolves have lived on for centuries in the local isolated villages, Bran Castle was built in the 1300's and inspired author Bram Stoker to write the 1897 gothic horror novel, Dracula.
It's easy to see why. Here at night, the bats fight through the mist, the ice cold atmosphere frosts the pine treetops, and only the moon lights your path to the entrance.
