A well balanced education must include the arts. Kids need to be equipped with compassion, sensitivity, empathy, discipline, and schools should inspire creativity and healthy forms of expression. And investing in artists like Magda means investing in arts education, cultural exchange, and community revitalization. If every student had access to music and the arts, we would see a decrease in the achievement gap and an increase in innovation, creativity, and imagination, all of which are ESSENTIAL to ANY profession.
