We were proud to support an incredible family, @team_agarj, at this #IMKona. Father and son Jeff and Johnny Agar race together. Johnny, who has cerebral palsy, had hoped to walk the final stretch at Kona. Things did not work out as they had hoped yet they were still an inspiring example of what makes Kona so special. Here is the repost from #TeamAgar:

Unfortunately, #TeamAgardidn't make the bike cutoff after an intense swim yesterday. I am not in the least bit disappointed in Dad, he gave it all that he could to make sure I crossed the line, but in truth that wasn't the most important thing that Ironman did for me. It gave me an opportunity to meet amazing people and the chance to be an athlete in the most iconic challenge there is. But most importantly, it made me feel more like my Dad. The Ironman is so far beyond any feet that I thought we could reach, let alone be able to actually compete in. Dad never gave up and kept biking, how can I keep my head down when Dad never gave up on me, and I will never give up on him. It was an experience that I will remember for a lifetime. Now I know the part of being an athlete where you take what happened and learn from it to be better in the next race. Thank you for your support, now more than ever. #NeverQuit
