#UnitedNations Special Adviser Karen AbuZayd works tirelessly to address the global refugee and migrant crisis. She has advocated for bold commitments by countries at Monday's UN Summit for Refugees and Migrants to protect the rights, safety and dignity of refugees and migrants everywhere.

There are more than 21 million refugees and half of them are children. The number of migrants who have left their countries in search of a better life has reached more than 225 million.
