Update 9/15 9:00am - her eye looked less swollen shut this morning and though she fought us, we were able to get the drops in again & wipe away discharge which was dark green. It looks better, she seems more energetic, and is eating/drinking normally even with the cone of shame on. Keep the good vibes coming. Thanks everyone! ??
Poor Halo ?. She has a suspected eye infection and isn't her usual self. Her eye became squinty and watery yesterday and the vet found her eye to be very cloudy but didn't see any scratches or trauma. Anyone who knows the Shiba-Inu breed knows the struggle of trying to closely examine anything on them so we have drops for her eye (which amazingly we were successful with sneaking in both doses today) and are hoping it's nothing more serious. She's 7 and glaucoma is apparently common in her breed which we're praying it's not! So please keep her in your Purrrayers. We just want her to feel better, she seems so sad. If it seems worse tomorrow she'll see the vet again. This morning it was swollen and goopy. Now she has a cone on so she doesn't wipe at it with her paw. Hoping we see some improvement tomorrow. ??
