Saw the premiere of @belowhermouth at @tiff_net this evening and I'm blown away by the beautiful love story this team of talented women created. I think what producer @melissajcoghlan said before the screening perfectly and eloquently sums up the essence of this film at it's core. "We wanted people to talk but we also wanted people to listen, and the message is - that underneath our skin, below our mouths in the space where our heart does the talking for us - that is where love lives, the pure kind of love, the immediate kind that propels the body forward and holds it there for as long as it can before fear, judgement and logic creep in and try to take over. This film is about that moment in time that happens once in our lives, if we're lucky, and brave enough to take a chance." Truly inspired.
