@judithlight is enjoying the kind of career she deserves. She gets to work as much as she likes, she gets an early crack at quality roles and she gets nominated for (and wins) awards in each medium she tackles. For the last couple of years, the 67-year-old actress has been tackling the complicated role of Shelly Pfefferman, the self-absorbed mother of 3, whose ex-husband is a transgender woman, , on @transparentamazon. @judithlight is up for an award for her role at the #Emmys on Sunday, and a new season of the show comes out in 2 weeks. In the meantime, Judith is preparing for “All the Ways to Say I Love You,” a new play that will open on #Broadway on September 28. Her challenge: The play, by Neil LaBute, is a 25-page, single-spaced monologue. @judithlight recorded the text and listens to it as she goes to sleep — no pleasure given the subject matter. “This play is about lies — turning ourselves inside out and about how far one goes for a man,” she said.
