It is 12 years to the day since a group of terrorists took Zarina, her sister and over 1,200 people hostage in School No.1 in Beslan, a small town in the Republic of North Ossetia in Russia.

Two days later, 334 people were dead. Among them parents, teachers, and more than half, children. In 2014 on the 10-year anniversary of the massacre, Diana @markosian returned to the tiny town to meet former hostages. Together they journeyed to the school.
