Today I have the honor of sharing what is, without a doubt, my favorite home tour we have ever run on Design*Sponge in 12 years (link in profile above). @rumaanalam and @snapsland have created such a special, beautiful and meaningful home in Brooklyn for themselves and their beautiful sons, Simon and Xavier. From a design perspective, their home is an incredible celebration of color, pattern, history, local artists and family. From a deeper perspective, I can't help but feel overwhelmed with emotion when I see the beautiful family they have created and shared with us on DS today. As a member of the LGBTQ community, it's hard to describe the joy that fills my heart when I see parents like Rumaan and David with their children. It fills me with hope and love and excitement for my own future and to be able to share moments like theirs in such an amazingly beautiful home brings me to such happy tears.
