The Olympics has always meant a lot to me and being a part of the IOC is an extremely exciting opportunity!

The commitment is about a quarter of the year - It includes meetings over the phone and in person in different countries covering things from the next host city of the Olympics to making sure every person has the right to participate in sport.

For those who have asked - I wasn't on stage during the closing ceremony in Rio because that honour was for the four nominees voted on by the athletes (I was fifth but was requested by the President to become a member asap so can accept missing out on that moment). In terms of BMX - I started the 2016 year the strongest and fastest I have ever been and never got the chance to really test it so I'm definitely not ready to hang up the bike just yet!
