Michael Heizer began working on “City” in 1972. A mile and a half long and inspired by ancient ritual cities, it is made from rocks, sand, and concrete mined and mixed on site. Forty-four years later, the behemoth sculpture is almost complete. Click the link in our bio to read Dana Goodyear's story "The Earth Mover." Photograph by @jamie.hawkesworth.
