January 2009, I had my first appointment here to begin on hormone therapy. I was 17, excited and nervous with my mom in tow, one of the first days I ever missed school in my whole life was for that life changing appointment. now I'm 25, almost 8 years on T and my first doctor has retired, endocrinology has moved to a fancier new building, and today, my new doctor let's me know I'm one of the folks who has been here the longest. I'll likely transition out to adult care after my next appointment, but not without dragging my feet heh. my experience at Boston Childrens hospital has been amazing and I am constantly reminded of the beautiful journey that began when I first set foot here. #trans #ftm #gender #endocrinologist #testosterone #bostonchildrenshospital
