there have been signs for days now, which I have been choosing to ignore.
A child of the morning I have seen the early signs- watching as the aqua blue sky turns, not bright as before but a rich rolling orange as the sun crests the stone wall on the east side of the barn.
the changing light, the milder winds, the persistent gentle tone
But today a few slender yellow leaves crossed my path, swirling together and moving on toward the field filled with gathering geese & I can ignore it no longer. Summer is beginning to surrender, ushering Autumn in ~
