Every collector who is passionate about their hobby has those certain rite of passage items. I have been waiting for the right time, place and occasion to invest in a true vintage classic in the world of beautiful flex pens. This isn't my first vintage flex, but it's my first rite of passage one. Meet the Waterman 52 Ideal BCHR inked with Noodler's Apache Sunset. Isn't she a beauty? I am beside myself. I purposely held out at the #dcpenshow2016 from indulging in one of these because I knew that my first monumental vintage pen had to come from @acousticpens whose knowledge, spirit and love of pens truly shines through each detail in how he thoughtfully restores these classics back into their prime, ready to be seen in the spotlight again. And I picked this quote by Albert Einstein to introduce this legendary flex because in the end in this unique world of pens, it's about community, isn't it? And when community is done right, everyone thrives and flourishes and there is room for more. This is what I witnessed and experienced at the DC Pen Show and it solidified that I couldn't be more proud and blessed than to be in the company of fellow fountain pen lovers, geeks and enthusiasts alike.
