Our role as proud hosts of the World Cup and Olympics is coming to a close. Brazil welcomed the world with open arms and showed everyone our special way of life - in both work and play. There were unforgettable moments of athleticism and sportsmanship - as well as some upsets and surprises along the way. I also waited my entire life to see Brazil win a Gold Medal in football and now my dream has come true. Congratulations to everyone involved in the Olympic games, especially my friend Mr. Carlos Nuzman, President of the Brazilian Olympic Committee.
