"This photo of Ewen's (@ewenspencer) was, I believe, published as part of his Teenagers Kissing series in Sleazenation in the 00s. I wasn't woke enough to see it then but when I did come across his work finally it was maybe the first image I ever saw of his. The poster version of it is now framed in my house.

Everything about photography for me is about feeling and if a photo makes my heart jump or my stomach drop then that's really all I need from it. This photo is so real because it doesn't matter if you're at a school disco or in your mid-20s seeing your crush with his girlfriend on your Instagram feed, we are all this kid". @ashleighkane is Dazed Digital's Arts & Culture Editor and selected this image for #WorldPhotoDay ????
