A few years back while walking through Joshua Tree National Park a friend pointed one of the most perfect monolithic pieces of granite I had ever seen. Down the face was a crack that looked like it had been cut by a laser. It was perfect. The climb looked almost impossible with the slight overhang at the lip and nothing more than poor fingerlocks and bad feet.

It took a few years but I finally got the chance to shoot this route with one of my favorite climbers @ethan_pringle . This day started off with a torrential downpour. There was a mass exodus of people out of the park. But by evening the wind picked up, the rock dried and the line went.
