In the Company of Women started as a sticky note on my laptop with the words "BOLD WOMEN" written on top. After 12 years working online, I realized that few things inspired me more than women who weren't afraid to stand up, have an opinion and share it loudly- and with confidence. I wrote a short list of 5 women who represented that to me and Christine Schmidt of @yellowowlworkshop was one of them.

Like so many, I love Christine's artwork, her sense of humor and the way she seems to constantly push herself- and her business- to change, evolve and grow in different directions. While we don't live in the same city, I consider Christine would of my favorite friends and one of the people I most respect and admire when it comes to just about anything in life. Having her in this book means so much to me. I sadly wasn't able to make it to this photoshoot because I was manning a separate one in NYC, but seeing this photo and hearing the fun she had with @kellikehler and @sashaisrael (who took this photo) made me feel like I was there. Thank you for your friendship, inspiration and for being such an all-around amazing person, @yellowowlworkshop #inthecompanyofwomen
