The big news hit the the streets (or more like social media channels) other day with a bang. Climbing will be in the 2020 Olympics, along with karate, baseball/softball, skateboarding and surfing.

As a climber for more than 20 years I'm so proud to see this progression, recognition and acceptance. This is something I wasn't sure I'd see in my lifetime.
With the awesome news there's also a bit of concern. Our sport has been growing quickly in the past 8 years alone. And trust me I love this. But with the spark of the 2020 Olympics there's no question that climbing will grow even more and even faster.
What are people's thoughts on this? I'm curious as to what we'll see in the future. What will happen with our crags and boulders? Will the climbing community change? What will be the problems and what will be the great things to come? Are pro climbers going to be driving expensive cars and buying houses below Ceuse?
