The International Football Association Board (IFAB) approved in March this year to trial video technology in selected competitions.
In 2017, live experiments will take place, with a final decision to be made in either 2018 or 2019.
FIFA will be at the forefront of testing, and this week installed a Video Assistant Referee (VAR) training centre. In the coming weeks, different technology providers will trial their equipment here, during matches. We aim to show you more on this project.
