The wind is warm and our future is bright?
I've been feeling so down over the state of the world lately... Sometimes my mind gets in the way and I spin into a feeling of hopelessness. But, I've realized, that's not who I really am! I'm not the kind of person who sits at home complaining about injustice. I'm the type of person who goes from picking up dogs in the street to opening an animal rescue foundation. I'm the type of person who, when at 10 years old my father gave me $150 to buy a CD player I came back empty handed because I gave all the money to a woman I saw begging in the street. I'm the type of person who moves snails and ushers frogs away from the road so they won't get run over when it rains. Im the type of person who speaks up about inequality and racism and misogyny even though some people out there think I should "shut up and stick to yoga". I'm the type of person who recognizes the power of social media and co-founds a global initiative to help combat the greatest social and environmental challenges of our time. I'm the type of person who gets up and DOES SOMETHING. And I'm just one little human being! Imagine what we could all do together.
I needed some perspective and I got it. Now I feel back on track and ready to work even harder to do what I'm here for: to make a difference in the world. I hope you'll continue to join me on this mission.
