a day of picking and preserving - baskets full of yellow wax beans and leafy greens have all been picked, washed and frozen in anticipation of those darker winter days that call for soups and a reminder of summer - and I've loaded my trusty tote c/o @L.L.Bean with weekly provisions, all manner of green and eggs and herbs, as I make my way by train back to the city -
