Escadaria Selarón, or "Selarón Steps", is a famous attraction in the heart of Rio de Janeiro. It is the work of Chilean artist Jorge Selarón, who declared it his tribute to the Brazilian people. These colorful steps, connecting the neighborhoods of Lapa and Santa Teresa, are made entirely of tiles either found by Selarón on construction sites or donated to him by admirers of his work from all over the world.
