I competed in the very first @psicocomp in SLC 3 years ago. After topping out the 50ft wall during qualifiers, I stared into the void between myself and the pool. I have a fear of falling into water... I nearly drowned as a child, smacked around by waves, not knowing which way was up or down. Sitting on the Psico wall, I had a panic attack. I jumped anyways, hoping the experience would take away some of the fear... It didn't.

I declined the 2014/2015 @psicocomp invitations. I was too scared to face it again. But this year feels different. Maybe because I've been forcing myself into scarier situations... Perhaps I am more prepared for the psycho Psico. #hardsayinnotknowin I'm nervous but psyched to take on this challenge. My goal is to stay calm enough to try hard.
