Saving the elephants isn't a one-man (or even one-team!) job. At the #DSWT, pilots, veterinarians, rangers, and even tracker dogs work hand-in-hand, along with other organizations like the @KenyaWildlifeService, to make a difference for Kenya's wildlife.
Ulysses is a great example of teamwork in action. Last month, @amboseli_trust and @biglifeafrica spotted the bull with a large spear wound in his leg. The veterinarian from our Amboseli Mobile Vet Unit wasn't available, so our Aerial Surveillance Unit flew in KWS veterinarian Dr. Poghon from our Tsavo Mobile Vet Unit. Thanks to our timely action, Ulysses was able to calmly lumber off after a short but successful treatment.
