Previously on Ahmir's Instagram he referenced Woody Allen's #MidnightInParis (spoilers: let's just say it's Wood's twist on #BackToTheFuture in which a frustrated screenwriter is transported to the 20s and chills w Hemingway, Porter, Picasso & Fitzgerald---he's in time travel heaven (kinda like how rock heads wish for late 60s/early 70s rock and pop heads want 84mtv forever and true school hip hoppers cry about 88-96) only to discover that upon arrival his heroes in art and literature are telling him "nah b-- it was on and poppin I the 90s---the 1890s!--next thing you know cats like Dali and Man Ray kicking it like "psssh this whack son the REAL deal was back in...." Our hero also made a meta reference to the @thepocketkit & #QuestloveBreatbeats (by @ludwig.drums.hq) 2 different drumsets designed for the EXACT scenario he stumbled onto that sound awesome and are very inexpensive. That he just Happens To find while walking the street of Paris aimlessly looking for adventure. In some cool "thanks Mean Joe!" way he politely declines to come inside and play (once discovered peering through the window outside) and sets out to meet some pals from back home.

So after breaking bread w his pal @Zoedove her entire squad leads him back to the scene of the rhyme (well it seems clever here) to this non descript nightclub in which a drummer and piano player are going through the modern pop music songbook like a wedding band on steroids. Before I could plan an escape----this happened....?????
