It was an honour to compete in the same stadium at the same time as two other kiwi athletes -@tomwalshsp and @エリザ・マッカートニー at today's @iaaf_athletics @diamondleagueathletics! Tom taking 2nd in the shot put and Eliza 3rd in the pole vault, amazing!! I was 6th in the 800m in 2.00.92 so not quite what I was hoping for but still a good last 800m hit out before Rio, 3.5 weeks til the Olympics heats! Was such a great atmosphere competing in the stadium with over 40,000 people today! I raced well until about 680m but didn't quite have it in the last 120m, looking forward to more good hard training before Rio!! Awesome to be reunited with my coach Maria who has just arrived in the UK from New Zealand! So special having Sam and my parents in law in the stadium cheering me on!!
