The best times to explore its hidden treasures are in the early spring or late fall as the surrounding foliage produces its vibrant colors. I can only imagine what it must have been like growing up in a place as magical as the italian dolomites. The quaint villages and rich mountaineering history make it one of the birth places of alpinism.
