Nestled in a remote valley in #California’s #DeathValley #NationalPark, the Racetrack is a place of stunning beauty and mystery that is best known for its strange moving rocks. Long meandering tracks left behind in the mud surface of the @deathvalleynps playa attest to their activity with some of the large rocks traveling as far as 1,500 feet. Geologists have been studying the moving rocks since 1948, but it wasn’t until 2013 that someone actually saw them move.
