Photo by @michaelclarkphoto // Kiwa Lake and the Kiwa Glacier in the Premier Range of the Canadian Rockies near Valemount, British Columbia. On this trip we camped up high near the glacier and then right next to the lake. We hiked around one day and waded across a section of the lake, which was very close to freezing due to the big icebergs floating in it. With water up to our waist it very nearly induced hypothermia just crossing a small section of the lake. My muscles locked up and I could barely walk after I got to the far side. Also, Grizzly Bear tracks were everywhere around camp as well so we had to be very careful with with our food, which was in bear canisters, and where we chose to cook dinner. #Canada #canadianrockies #britishcolumbia #premierrange #kiwalake #kiwaglacier
