She’s holding a cup of wine for her guests in one hand, and a sword for her enemies in the other, which is the perfect metaphor for this city that has seen so much strife, but continues to treat its guests like a 'gift from God' as the Georgian saying goes. The three days I spent in Tbilisi were full of new adventures: soaking in the sulphur baths the city got its name for, cooking meat skewers over a new friend’s fireplace to drinking beers with a crew of Georgian skateboarders in a crumbling Soviet buildings.
